Inter-Club Shield Competition A Great Success (March 09, 2008) Silverstone fought gamely but alas lost 23 - 29 to Cherwell Edge in the first 'Inter-Club Shield' competition played at Cherwell. It was a major success with 72 players taking part.
Everyone agreed that it was a wonderful day and is scheduled to be repeated at Silverstone in September.
Silverstone came away with a wooden toilet seat as losers. This is to be put on display in the clubhouse along with the photograph taken of the losing team.
